Dr Philip Yeo

Dr Philip Yeo is the Special Advisor for Economic Development to the Prime Minister's office, Singapore and the Senior Advisor for science and technology within Singapore’s Ministry of Trade & Industry. His field of expertise is in building knowledge based economies.

Dr Yeo is Chairman of SPRING Singapore, a governmental agency dedicated to the promotion of Singapore's economic growth and productivity. From 1970 – 1986, Dr Yeo worked for Singapore’s Ministry of Defense, where appointments included, Permanent Secretary for logistics, technology, research & development and defense industries.

Dr Yeo was the first Chairman of Singapore’s National Computer Board from 1981 - 1987 and currently serves as Chairman of Accuron Technologies Ltd, which engineers and produces high value aircraft engine components and systems.

Dr Yeo holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Toronto, an MSc from the then, University of Singapore, and an MBA from Harvard University. He has received numerous honors and awards over his career.
