Dr Salem Chouib is Research Director at the Institut Gustave Roussy-Villejuif France. He completed his undergraduate studies in biochemistry at the university of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI) and immunology at Pasteur Institute. In 1983, he received his Doctorate in immunology and in 1986 his French state doctorate from the same university. He then joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (NY-USA) where he undertook post doctoral training. In 1986, he was appointed as research associate at the French National Institute of Health and Biomedical Research (INSERM) and joined the tumor biology laboratory at the Cancer Institut Gustave Roussy. Now Research Director, he heads a research unit devoted to cancer immunology and immunotherapy. |
